I sat in our back yard the other day on a brick looking at all the small stuff there is to see with the macro lens. It is amazing how interesting the small things are when you can really see them well.

Here are a few more shots I took today. I also made a flash tube for macro shots which is made of duct tape, a cereal box, aluminum foil, and tissue paper. The idea is that it transfers the flash to just in front of the lens and also diffuses it, it also provides light form two sides to eliminate harsh shadows. the on camera flash may not be quite powerful enough, but it seemed to work okay. All the images here were taken using this flash tube.
