Tell mom to click to go to the big version, then right click, then click on "save picture as", save it somewhere, print it, and stick to to the fridge.
Thanks Dad, for being such an inspiration and support to all of us in our photographic (and other) efforts. -sam

Workman Creek Macros

Here are some macro shots from my trip to Workman Creek today.

There was a small patch of purple flowers that were still hanging on in the cooler weather.

There was this weird fungus on some of the tree trunks, this was the largest patch I saw.

And there was a giant spider that let me take quite a few shots before he got annoyed and walked off.

Workmen Creek Falls

I went to Workman Creek Falls today to see if I could catch some fall colors. I was still a little bit early, but I had a great time and I think I got some good shots. The falls is just off a dirt road and the small creek drops about 200 feet.

UT panos

Here are some Panoramic shots.

Utah

Here are my best shots from UT. Thanks for the fun times.

Brush-strokes in Yellow

L'impressionnisme photographique

Autumn colors

Mid-October, up past Eden, in the upper Ogden Valley Utah. Up the road to Powder Mountain, one of the last few ski mountains in the country that still feels like the old local mountains did when I learned to ski. Hiked around a bit among the amazing colors. Our timing could not have been better. Amazing to think that there are probably only a few days a year when the mountains will look like this, and we got to be there.
