Here are a few more shots I took today. I also made a flash tube for macro shots which is made of duct tape, a cereal box, aluminum foil, and tissue paper. The idea is that it transfers the flash to just in front of the lens and also diffuses it, it also provides light form two sides to eliminate harsh shadows. the on camera flash may not be quite powerful enough, but it seemed to work okay. All the images here were taken using this flash tube.

very awesome! how did everything come out so clear and color-perfect? are you using photo shop or anything? if so, what exactly do you do? what are the backgrounds? are you using a tripod? I know lots of questions... I need some lessons on all this! these are fab. photos! props!
ReplyDeleteNo photoshop, i may have adjusted the color slightly in iphoto. the backgrounds are simply whatever was behind the subject. I took all these ones hand held, so no tripod. the first ones are in our back yard, and the ones of the bees are from around the corner. I used the flash on all of them and also they were in bright day light, which allowed for fast shutter speed to reduce camera shake.
