Focus stacking

The above image was created from the 6 below, each is shot at F8 and focused on a slightly different area then stacked in photoshop. this allows the final image to have full depth of field, even greater depth of field than shooting at F22.

  1. Intense! Did you use elements? Is it just a merge image function (like HDR) or is it more complex than that. I dig it

  2. I am not sure it works in elements, i did it in CS4 and it is a merge more similar to panorama stitching, then it auto masks each layer based on sharpness.
